Why

As long as I can remember I have loved sexual health and I have been comfortable talking about all aspects of sexuality and sexual behavior. While working on my Ph.D. in Health Education and Promotion, looking at sexual health programs and outcomes I realized there is a large gap between what research demonstrates is the best methodology and what is actually happening. Thus, Ilera Consultancy was created- to address this gap between research and implementation. Beyond research, sexual health is still very much taboo- there is so much that the average person does not know and does not know where to begin with asking questions. I want to be a starting point, a connection where people can go to ask questions and know that they will be answered honestly and correctly. My brand mixes my personal passion for sexual health and academic research interests.
